From Kagoshima prefecture in Southern Japan, this "deep steamed" Fukamushi Sen Cha has a rich, sweet and slightly roasted taste. Smoother and less vegetal than most light-steamed Sen Chas. The aroma reflects the taste and the liquor is a thick yellow-green. The deeper steaming results in more broken leaves so we recommend the disposable tea filters for steeping this one. A great intro for new Sen Cha drinkers.
